The CIGI Host Emulator is a host application commonly used for:
  • A surrogate in the absence of a simulation host
  • Integration
  • Testing
  • Demonstrations
The HE provides a graphical user interface (GUI) capable of sending or receiving all CIGI data packets specified in the CIGI ICD.

HE Versions
There are two runtime platform options for running the Host Emulator.
  • Win32 - Microsoft Windows operating systems, including Windows 2000 and Windows XP. With the Win32 version of the HE, no additional software is required.
  • RTX - Real-time extensions for Windows by IntervalZero (formerly Ardence, formerly VenturCom). RTX is a 3rd party software environment for more deterministic and precise timing control for Windows platforms. RTX will need to be running in order to use the RTX version of the HE.
